programs Director

Adriana Amaya joined Brother Bill's in March 2022 as the Programs Director, bringing a wealth of experience from her many years in radio. Throughout her radio career, Adriana focused on public affairs, creating shows that highlighted community organizations and promoted social awareness.

Adriana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Spanish for Global Competence. She furthered her education with a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Remarkably, Adriana accomplished these academic milestones while balancing the responsibilities of being a wife, mother, and full-time worker, embodying the belief that “Cuando se quiere, se puede.”

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Adriana moved to Dallas at the age of ten and grew up in the Webb Chapel neighborhood. Her deep passion for community service has driven her work at Brother Bill's, where she has initiated new programs, such as the Homebuyer Workshops, financial classes, and job fairs. She also continues to enhance existing programs that have a profound impact, like Pathways, a job training and empowerment program for women.

A devoted believer and child of God, Adriana finds joy in combining her faith with her professional knowledge to bring immediate assistance to those around her. This mission is not just her job; it's her way of life.

Fun Fact: Adriana hosts a podcast called Tu Comunidad con Adriana, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where she discusses important community topics.
