Saving Lives Through Proactive Healthcare
Our Community Clinic provides high quality health care at little to no cost to our patients. Our clinic played a significant role in one neighbor’s life-threatening fight against breast cancer.
Three years ago, during an annual ‘well woman’ exam at our clinic, a lump was discovered in her breast. Our team immediately referred her to Methodist Hospital for a mammogram. The results confirmed a diagnosis of breast cancer. Within days, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand connected her with the Bridge Breast Network. They walked with her through the process of having a double mastectomy and follow-up chemotherapy treatment at Parkland Hospital.
She has been cancer-free since completing treatment and is so thankful for the immediate and personal care she received at our Community Clinic and our partner organizations.
