Laurel Green

Youth and Children Program's director

Laurel Green serves as the Youth and Children’s Program Director here at BBHH.  She grew up in Auburn, AL, graduated from Auburn University in 2016 with a BA in Human Development and Family Studies, and holds a Teacher’s Certification from SMU.

While at Auburn, Laurel worked for a Christian non-profit, Our House, whose mission was to love, support and share the good news about Jesus to the neighbors of the adjacent public housing units. Her time spent there was filled with structuring curriculum for children of all ages to help student learning and improve grades. While doing so, she corresponded with teachers and created calendars for each grade level based on academic needs and deadlines.

She then moved to Dallas and was a part of Teach for America, where she taught 3 different grade levels in South Oak Cliff. While teaching, she spent countless hours diving into student data and education reform.  After 3 amazing years in the classroom, the Lord called Laurel to BBHH. This time he allowed for all her passions to come together: serving children and families and getting to share the good news about our Almighty God.
